"Don't believe everything you hear." was the word from the team's ownership group after rumors of Ernest Derrico wanting out of Gotham surfaced late yesterday. No one knows exactly how this news broke and Derrico laughed it off when told of the story.

 | Monday, September 23rd, 2019: Battista Selected Top Performer in CL
All week long James Battista was the toughest out in the Colonial League and that is the prime reason he was voted the Player of the Week.
The Gotham catcher rapped out 11 hits in 19 at-bats for a .579 batting average, drove in 6 runs and scored 4 times.
In 138 games this season Battista is batting .312 with 138 hits and 18 home runs. He has scored 65 runs and driven in 74.

 | Saturday, September 14th, 2019: Knights Gentry to Miss One Week
Herbert Gentry and the Gotham Knights got a bad break in today's game against the Jackalopes as the team confirmed he will miss one week with a fractured hand. The Knights center fielder suffered the injury making a defensive play. The team doctor is confident he'll make a full recovery.
Thus far this year Gentry has hit .294 with 18 home runs and 64 RBIs.
