Desmond Fowler really did a number on the Legends in the North Texas 11-10 victory. Not just anyone can get 5 hits in 6 at-bats. But Desmond Fowler did just that today for the Stampede and gave his batting average a healthy boost and sparked his club in the win.
"I felt real good in the batter's box today. I had confidence in my swing and knew that it was there and that I could get the job done," the 36-year-old center fielder said after his record-setting performance.
D. Fowler singled in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, flied out in the 7th, singled in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.
Fowler is currently hitting at a .308 pace with 3 home runs and 21 RBIs.

 | Sunday, September 19th, 2021: Barnaby and Shank Fight, Suspended 4 Games
Louisville and North Texas were informed today by the league's commissioner that two of their players have been given 4-game suspensions, citing their "inappropriate actions" in the recent altercation in a game played at Built By The Dome.
For their parts in the bench-clearing episode, the Jockeys Mariano Barnaby and the Stampede Bill Shank will be sitting on the sidelines and will not be permitted to participate in games until the suspensions are served.
Barnaby's current batting average stands at .269 and he has chalked up 3 home runs and 33 RBIs.
This year Shank has collected no saves in 59 relief appearances. He has also compiled a 3-7 won-lost mark with a 4.04 ERA and fanned 70 batters in 75.2 innings. Opponents are hitting him at a .281 clip in 2021.
