It is unknown at this time if there is any truth to the rumor that Tennessee's Lucius Guffey has asked his team for a trade. Insiders indicate the left fielder may not be happy with the club management. So far, the team's owners have refused to comment.

 | Wednesday, September 15th, 2021: Rumors Confirmed, Candelaria Retires
Ending weeks of speculation, Antonio Candelaria announced his retirement today. The Dogs starting pitcher has been reportedly weighing the decision since last year, sources close to Candelaria say.
"I'm not going to deny it's been a difficult decision," Candelaria said, speaking to the rumors, "but it's time. It took me a while to realize that, but it's time to leave the game."
In his career Candelaria has fanned 1314 batters and walked 698 in 2067.2 innings of work. His lifetime won-lost record is 104 victories and 140 defeats with a 4.72 ERA and opposing hitters have compiled a .805 against him.

 | Monday, September 13th, 2021: Tennessee SP Will Miss 2 Weeks
Tennessee fans will be disappointed to learn that Wilfredo Duran developed a tender shoulder while throwing a pitch in today's game. After the doctor informed the Tennessee Dogs manager that Duran was expected to miss 2 weeks, the manager told the press that the rest of the team would have to step up their play until the starting pitcher could return. "You can't make excuses in baseball, because there's always a game tomorrow," said the team's skipper.
In 30 starts this year Duran has recorded a 14-9 record and a 3.34 ERA.
